Abstract:
Soil compaction impairs root proliferation and restricts water and nutrient acquisition, ultimately compromising yield and produce quality. Micro- and nanobubble irrigation alleviates these constraints by increasing rhizosphere oxygenation, activating beneficial soil microbiota, and enhancing vegetable root metabolic function in compacted environments. Moreover, these emerging approaches contribute to long-term restoration of soil physical and biological properties.
